Get Involed - BKA Roles and Vacancies

The BKA is a growing organisation, but it still depends entirely on volunteers to organise and manage the many jobs that have to be done.

We are currently looking for assistance in the following areas:

Anti-Doping Officers - Legal / Medical

The International Kendo Federation, to which the BKA belongs, has joined the World Anti Doping Federation, and as a member coountry, the BKA needs to adhere to it's rules and proceedures. To oversee this, we are recommended to appoint a two Anti Doping Officers - one with a legal back ground and the other with a medical background - to oversee the implementaion of an anti-doping policy.

Fundraiser

Kendo needs money to grow and develop and to fund activities such as sending UK squads to internatinal events. If you are an experienced charity fundraiser - or just keen to help - we'd love to hear from you.

First Aid Trainers

We need qualified first aiders willing to run training sessions for BKA members as a part of their development as coaches.

Coaching Officer

The BKA has recently completed developing coach courses for the three arts to help new teachers understand how best to train students. Monitoring this sylabus and developing our coaches further requires an knowledgable training professional to act as coaching officer.

CRB/Child Protection

CRB checks are essential for any dojo leader or teacher and the BKA would like an officer to administer our CRB scheme.
